Agronomy / Golf Course Maintenance
Description
General Expectations- Assist in planning and supervising the maintenance of the golf course.
- Schedule work and supervise daily work assignments for crew members.
- Instruct/Supervise equipment operation and mowing practices.
- Participate in pesticide applications and calibrate pesticide application equipment.
- Participate in daily operation/maintenance of irrigation system and pump station.
- Assist in personnel management, employee safety, and personnel discipline.
- Contribute to a positive work environment for all FHCC employees.
Employment Requirements
- Working knowledge of everyday maintenance practices for all locations of the golf course.
- Application experience with fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides and soil conditioners.
- Experience with irrigation system/pump station repair and maintenance.
- Ability to schedule and supervise crew to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Maintain effective employee and public relations.
- Positive attitude necessary to lead and motivate crew members.
Additional Requirements
- 45+ hour work week during the growing season.
- Weekend/Holiday work necessary during the growing season.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Obtain/Maintain current state pesticide applicator license.
