Beacon Hill Country Club is a jewel in Monmouth County, with illuminating views of the New York City Skyline and Sandy Hook Bay. Steeped in tradition since 1899, BHCC is a member-owned golf and country club featuring a challenging and meticulously groomed 18-hole golf course, located in Atlantic Highlands, NJ. Comprised of Poa/Bent Greens, Tees, and Fairways, Beacon Hill is less than a mile from the Ocean and just ninety minutes from New York City, Beacon Hill sits among the wooded slopes of New Jersey, where sea, hills, and country meet. Beacon Hill's membership is unlike any other, with the main goal of having a good time while playing a fun golf course.

BHCC continually looks to improve the golf course, recently having reconstructed all the bunkers as part of a continuing Master Plan. BHCC continues to invest in the golf course and infrastructure after recently installing the first driving range on property in club history. We are nearing completion of our new equipment storage building. In addition we are scheduled for an entire Toro Irrigation system renovation in 2026 and planning on building a new shortgame facility and pickleball courts in the next couple of years.

The Assistant Superintendent will have the opportunity to work in a team environment alongside the Golf Course Superintendent and other Turf Professionals. The applicant will have input in the daily operation of the golf course and as well as the planning and execution of long-term projects. This allows a unique opportunity of playing a vital role in our ongoing projects both in-house and contracted out. The assistant will also get valuable experience working with new technologies like GPS Sprayers, Toro Lynx, TaskTracker, 3D Printers, and many more.

We are looking for someone to come join a close knit team, that enjoys working on the golf course, and provides a high level product for our members. We strive for a work/life balance and schedules are discussed amongst the turf team to find what works best for everyone. The turf team meets every morning to discuss the daily jobs and upcoming events as well as share ideas where all opinions matter.

Assistant must have earned a 2-4 year degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management or a related field. The position requires at least 1 year of golf course experience. We are looking for individuals who work well in a team environment, a basic comprehension of computer skills, have a passion for turfgrass/golf, and individuals who are motivated to improve themselves and the golf course daily.

The assistant superintendent will work with the Turf Team in all aspects of golf course maintenance. This includes but is not limited to: crew management, irrigation, project work, fertilizer & pesticide applications, record keeping, scouting and water management.
