The Club at Pelican Bay features the North Course, an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Bill Amick. The course is known for its elevated tee boxes, natural scenery, and player-friendly layout, welcoming golfers of all ages and skill levels. The North Course offers 18 holes with a par of 72. Amenities at the club include an all-grass driving range, short-game and putting areas, an on-site restaurant, and banquet and event facilities.

The successful candidate will assist with the maintenance and daily operations of the golf course, ensuring high standards of turf quality, safety, and playability. This role supports the Golf Operations Supervisor by coordinating maintenance activities, managing equipment and irrigation systems, and maintaining accurate records.

Experience Required

• Turfgrass maintenance practices, disease prevention, and nutrient requirements
• Chemical application techniques and proper sprayer calibration
• Safe operation and maintenance of heavy groundskeeping and turf equipment
• Irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and repair

Essential Responsibilities

• Assign, schedule, and prioritize maintenance tasks and work orders
• Diagnose and repair irrigation systems, mechanical equipment, and electrical components
• Obtain cost estimates for projects, repairs, and equipment purchases
• Purchase and manage chemicals, fertilizers, and supplies for turf maintenance
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and submit monthly reports to the Golf Operations Supervisor
• Collaborate with the Golf Operations team on course setup and daily maintenance needs
• Perform other related duties as assigned within the scope of the position

Maintain accurate records and work within established budgets

Safely operate mowers, tractors, and specialized turf maintenance equipment

Communicate effectively and courteously with staff, supervisors, and the public

Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing operational needs

Work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Follow safety procedures and applicable environmental regulations
