What you will do:
- Perform hydraulic and hydrologic engineering design services
- Runoff calculations
- Open-channel hydraulics
- Bridge hydraulics
- Culvert design.
- Detention facility design
- Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic models
- Analyze drainage and flooding problems and consider alternatives to mitigate those problems.
- Prepare construction cost estimates for mitigation actions
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing analyses and results
- Travel to project sites and perform field work to obtain data for projects
- Attend client and public meetings related to projects
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Biosystems, or Environmental Engineering
- Certified as an Engineer in Training (EIT) having passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to work at a variety of locations
- Experience in GIS software, ArcPRO
- Experience in HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS modeling software
- Basic knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering
- Desire to continue developing skills and knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering
- Excellent organizational and communications skills
- Ability to work 40 hours a week
- Ability to work in posted location
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment, occasional travel or field visits may be required to support
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains associated with site visits and other project related activities
