Spook Rock Golf Course, located in Suffern, NY, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Greenskeeper! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Compensation:

$15.50 - $16.00 per hour

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented
• Must possess the ability to design, coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course
• Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance
• Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation
• Must be dependable

Responsibilities:

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
