Position Summary
As a Landscape Designer and Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business by identifying and pursuing market opportunities. Your role will involve delivering high-quality and functional landscape designs that meet client needs and align with our company standards. This position combines creative design, sales performance, and proactive business development to ensure that we maintain our reputation for excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth.
Requirements
Landscape Design
Conduct thorough on-site consultations to assess property conditions, client preferences, and budget.
Create detailed, professional landscape designs using CAD, renderings, or design software.
Recommend suitable plant material and design elements that match site conditions and project goals.
Ensure all designs are accurate, feasible, and cost-effective.
Sales & Client Management
Develop and present proposals, estimates, and contracts to clients.
Actively manage sales pipeline, follow up on leads, and close new business opportunities.
Achieve and maintain client trust through excellent communication, transparency, and follow-through.
Grow your customer base through referrals, repeat business, and community presence.
New Business Development
Identify and pursue new market segments to expand your network and client base.
Research and analyze industry trends to uncover growth opportunities.
Network with local organizations, attend industry events, and build strategic partnerships to generate new leads.
Develop and implement outreach campaigns to attract new clients.
Collaborate with marketing and management to refine service offerings and target emerging markets.
Project Coordination
Communicate design intent clearly to production and installation crews.
Collaborate with nursery staff to ensure plant and material availability.
Monitor projects through completion, ensuring that final results match design intent.
Resolve client concerns quickly and professionally.
Professional Conduct & Growth
Represent the company and brand with professionalism, integrity, and exceptional service.
Maintain current knowledge of landscape design trends, horticulture best practices, and industry standards.
Participate in team meetings, sales meetings, and training as required.
Deliverables & Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Sales Performance
Annual Sales Goal: TBD - based on Compensation Package.
Proposal Conversion: Minimum 75% of proposals converted into signed contracts.
Generate a consistent pipeline of new leads, maintaining strong relationships with past and prospective clients.
Design Quality
Deliver 100% of designs and proposals within agreed timelines.
Maintain design revision rate under 10% (revisions due to oversight/errors).
Ensure all designs meet feasibility, plant suitability, and installation requirements.
Client Satisfaction
Maintain a client satisfaction rating of 90% or higher (measured through feedback, surveys, or reviews).
Secure repeat or referral business from at least 75% of clients annually.
Resolve 100% of client complaints/issues within 5 business days.
Collaboration & Operations
Provide accurate design specifications and documentation for 100% of assigned projects.
Attend and contribute to all scheduled team and sales meetings.
Ensure project budget variance remains within ±5% of original estimate.
Performance Review
Performance will be reviewed quarterly against the KPIs above, with an annual review to assess overall contributions, growth, and alignment with the company’s goals.
Salary Range is $70,000.00 to $100,000.00+ (includes commission on sales)
