The Work
A landscape designer is a key support person who helps our teams communicate design ideas to clients, the public, and our partner consultants. This entails participating in design meetings both internal and external, producing graphics to convey the design story, and working on technical documentation upon which our projects are built. You will be working on multiple projects with multiple teams; being proactive, collaborative, and communicative is essential. While day-to-day tasks will vary, key responsibilities and characteristics we are seeking in a designer include the following:
- Keen aesthetics to provide graphics production including 2D and 3D communication such as project renderings and assembly of reports, narratives, and presentations.
- Technical documentation skills with CAD and Revit (preferred) for all aspects of landscape architecture including hardscape, planting, furnishings, grading, etc.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Focused and detail oriented.
- Curious to delve into the practical application of landscape architecture.
- Aptitude for or ability to learn emerging technologies such as MR/VR and AI integration.
Preferred Software Skills
Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, 3D modeling, Lumion
Compensation and Benefits
$65-75K base salary dependent upon experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, long-term care insurance, profit sharing, 401(k) Safe Harbor, FSA, ORCA card, vacation, holiday, as well as paid wellness leave, professional development, and community volunteering time.
