- Water Conservation Specialist / Landscape & Irrigation Surveyor

WaterWise Consulting, Inc., headquartered in Southern California, is the premier water conservation consulting firm in California. We are expanding to the great state of Arizona! We are looking for a part-time Water Conservation Specialist / Irrigation Technician to assist us with our water conservation programs in the Gilbert and Goodyear areas. Occasional work in other surrounding areas such as Litchfield Park, Surprise, Sierra Vista & Rio Rico may occur from time to time.
We are looking for ambitious candidates who can travel to different job sites as needed. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing water-use efficiency surveys and irrigation device retrofits at residential and commercial sites. Water-use efficiency surveys will be conducted electronically on a company provided tablet and reports will be e-mailed to the office each day. Irrigation device retrofits will include but may not be limited to installing sprinkler timers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and basic knowledge of irrigation and landscape practices. Basic customer service skills are also desirable. Good communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Work duties will also include providing advice to customers on their sprinkler systems and landscaping, so candidates should understand the basic principles and practices of landscape gardening and irrigation systems. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.

Requirements
- Knowledge of landscaping and irrigation systems is a must.
- Knowledge of different types of state specific plant materials and Arizona state horticultural practices is a must.
- Know how to perform basic landscape area measurements.
- Ability to perform routine irrigation system maintenance, repair, and upgrade (including but not limited to sprinkler timers).
- Ability to gather accurate data and calculate the area of basic shapes such as squares, circles and triangles.
- Organized and outgoing personality.
- Great communication skills and customer service oriented.
- Basic computer, tablet and smartphone knowledge.
- Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance.
- Cellular phone.
- Must have internet access to check daily schedule.
- Must participate in company's background and/or drug screening program.
- Candidates must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, provide proof of valid auto insurance.
