Examples of duties to be performed:

• Monitor meters, gauges, and accurately report those readings.
• Collect and test water/wastewater samples.
• Clean and maintain mechanical equipment, tanks, filter beds and other work areas.
• Repair and replace water/sewer mains.
• Monthly meter reading of utility water meters, including turn-ons/offs, and rechecks.
   

Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with clean record to operate a company vehicle & be insurable under Commercial Auto Policy.
• CDL license or willing to obtain is helpful.
• Related experience repairing/maintaining equipment & familiar with small hand tools (wrenches, shovels, ladders, saws, etc.).
• Experience in a related field such as plumbing, pipefitting, meter reading, etc.
• Perform math calculations, such as adding, subtracting, conversions, etc.
• Demonstrated drive to make this a long-term career.
• Accessible for weekend rounds based on a rotating schedule, available to respond to after-hour emergencies, & understand they may have to work a holiday because water flows 24/7/365.
• Must reside or willing to relocate to within a 10-30-minute response time of Humboldt.
