Description

• Must possess the ability to design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course by weedeating, edging, walk mowing, pulling weeds, and more as directed by the Superintendent
• Must be willing to learn how to operate tools, methods and materials used in grounds, landscaped area construction and maintenance work
• Must be willing to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations with attention to detail and safety to themselves, golfers, and fellow employees
• Must be willing to keep equipment clean and assist with keeping maintenance facility clean
• Ability to give oral and written instructions
• Must be willing to learn seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation
• Must be dependable

• Operates motorized vehicles
• Maintains clean and organized works areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
• Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
• Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
