Compensation:
$19.00 - $24.00 per hour
General Purpose
Responsible for the landscaping and maintenance of the golf course grounds. This role involves operating a variety of machinery and performing moderately labor-intensive tasks including walk mowing, bunker raking, ride-on mowing, line trim work, and other golf course maintenance duties as needed. Expect to walk several miles per day and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
- Mow greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees, and other areas
- Water tees, greens, and fairways; operate irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
- Repair the irrigation system, pipes, and irrigation heads as necessary
- Grade and prepare soil base, lay sod, and seed greens, tees, and fairways
- Trim and prune hedges and shrubbery; clean flower beds
- Apply pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
Education & Experience Requirements
- Less than high school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers, and equipment manuals may be in English)
Working Conditions
Frequently uses hands. Regularly stands, walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and crawls. Frequently lifts, moves, and carries up to 50 pounds and may push or pull up to 100 pounds. Regularly exposed to hot and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, moving mechanical parts, compact spaces, and outside weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.
