Description
We are seeking a talented entry-level Landscape Designer for our Germantown, Maryland office. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering and design environment, contributing to a wide range of project types and scales.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, outgoing, and resourceful, with a passion for design excellence and a desire to grow within a dynamic team.
Responsibilities: Design & Documentation Support Assist in the development of conceptual, schematic, and detailed landscape designs, and support the preparation of Design Development and Construction Document packages. Digital Modeling & Visualization Produce digital graphics, renderings, and visualizations to communicate design intent. Technical Coordination Collaborate with architects, engineers, and planners to integrate landscape elements into multidisciplinary projects. Site Analysis & Field Work Participate in field work, including site visits, inventory, measurements, photography, and documentation to support design development, including grading observation and support. Research Conduct research on materials, planting, sustainability strategies, and design precedents.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture. 0–5 years of professional experience. Strong understanding of Design Development and Construction Document preparation. Familiarity with grading principles and basic site design concepts. Excellent written, graphic, and verbal communication skills. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, LAND F/X, and SketchUp. Strong digital visualization and freehand graphic skills. High level of professionalism and strong organizational and organizational skills. Licensure is not required but is expected to be part of long-term career development.
