Patuxent Nursery is a nationally recognized Top 100 Garden Center dedicated to providing the highest quality plants and exceptional customer service. Located in the Bowie area, we have been serving our community for 30 years with a passion for green spaces and a commitment to affordability. Our expansive garden center features a large nursery, diverse plant selection, and a charming gift shop, making us a go-to destination for gardening enthusiasts and casual shoppers alike.  We have a thriving residential planting service program, but are looking for someone to help us develop a full scale Landscape division.

Requirements

 OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversight of all aspects of the Patuxent Outdoors Department, including development of a yearly budget 
• Responsible for achieving budgeted sales and profit objectives of the Patuxent Outdoors Department
• Assist in the development of a marketing plan
• Assist with Retail Sales activities in the Nursery by training the Yard Sales Staff to help sell landscaping jobs
   

PRODUCTION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate labor, materials and production for all jobs
• Ensure we comply with local requirements (Miss Utility, Permits, etc..)
• Place and track orders with buyers to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Apply for all necessary permits as required by local authorities
• Ensure all materials leaving the nursery for a job are properly tracked and removed from Inventory

SALES RESPONSIBILITIES

• Qualify and screen leads 
• Set up sales appointments 
• Bid prospective jobs and provide written proposals
• Collection of deposits, job draws and final payment from customers
• Final walkthrough of completed jobs with customers and/or sub contractors
• Manage and schedule service/warranty calls.
